WORKSHOPS

Period: March to November.
Begin: Monday, March 3, 2008.
End: Saturday, November 29, 2008.
Workshops will continue through winter vacations.
Monthly fee per workshop: $ 180.

Participants can start attending workshops at any time during the year, only restricted by number of vacancies.
Follow-up is tailored to your needs and no previous experience is required.
The Association reserves the right to close a workshop if registration is less than 8 participants.
Beginners kit is complimentary.


DRAWING WITH A LIVE MODEL
Professor: Ernesto Pesce.
Period: March to November.
Schedule: Mondays, 10 am to 12 noon or 7 to 9 pm;  Tuesdays, 10.30 am to 12.30 or 2 to 4 pm, Wednesday 2 to 4 pm.

Perception of space and relationship between forms
Composition exercises, assigning as much importance to the figure as to the background, and emphasizing the concept of interpreting the work. 


DRAWING TECHNIQUES: AQUARELLE.
Professor: Ernesto Pesce.
Period: March to November.
Schedule: Fridays,  10 am to 12 noon or 2 to 4 pm.

Materials and tools.
The objective of this course is to introduce the student to aquarelle techniques, materials and tools.


THE GAZE THAT PAINTS (*)
Professor : Ariel Mlynarzewicz.
Period: March to November.
Schedule: Mondays, 2 to 4 pm or 4.30 to 6.30; Tuesdays,  8.10 to 10.10 am or 7 to 9 pm.

The aim of the course is to initiate the student in painting and in exploring materials, tools and concepts for constructing a pictorial work. We’ll provide the student with a vision of painting based on multiple criteria, each adapted to the production process.


 

OPTIMIZING PAINTING TECHNIQUES.
Professor: Mariano Sapia.
Period: March to November.
Schedule: Saturdays, 11.30 am to 1.30 pm.

A series of approaches will be proposed in order to learn how to optimize the use of painting techniques, with special emphasis on color.


PICTORIAL SPACE IN OIL TECHNIQUE
Professor: Juan Astica.
Period: March to November.
Schedule: Thursdays, 10 am to 12 , or 2 to 4 pm or 3.40 to 6.30 pm.

The objective of the workshop is to understand in practice the procedures and specificities related to this technique, ranging from its basic material properties, to an approach to its expressive and artistic possibilities.


DRAWING FROM SCRATCH,
Profesor: Mariano Sapia.
Period: March to November.
Schedule: Saturdays,   9 a 11am.

Starting with the dot, the line, the spot and the contour. The proposal is to begin to draw “from scratch”, and learn the skills while taking the course.


CREATIVITY AND COLOR.
Profesor: Jorge González Perrín.
Period: March to November.
Schedule: Wednesdays, 10 am to 12 noon and Thursdays, 7 to 9 pm.

Two main aspects will be addressed: expression and technique. With color as a starting point, and through a series of exercises, the student will be introduced to pictorial issues, and guided to find his own esthetics.


INTRODUCTION TO DRAWING.
Profesor Norberto Onofrio.
Period: March to November.
Schedule : Tuesdays, 4.30 to 6.30 pm.

The purpose of the course is to teach the student the concept of space, line, chiaroscuro, value and depth. Analysis of rhythm, composition and perspective. Works in ink, on various supports.


DRAWING AND  EXPRESSION.
Professor:  Raúl Ponce.
Period: March to November.
Schedule: Wednesdays, 7 to 9 pm.

This workshop offers the possibility to approach drawing (lines, mesh, values) and to develop expressivity.  We'll develop formal, technique and creative aspects from an integrated and flexible perspective.


The Association reserves the right to modify the fees for courses and workshops when necessary.

In order to avoid delays to courses, we suggest registering at least one week in advance.
